KNVB Beker is divided into seven rounds on a single round robin basis. Each team will draw lots to determine their opponents and home teams. If the teams are tied after 90 minutes, they will play in extra time (there is no golden or silver goal). If still drawn, a penalty shoot-out will decide the winner. The champion of KNVB Beker enters the third qualifying round of Europa League. If the champion has qualified for the Champions League, the place will go to the next team with higher ranking.
